Cemetery Worker Arrested With Human Dry Skulls In Ogun State (photo)

Physinews: A cemetery worker identified as Oluwatoyosi Akorede has been arrested by the Ogun state police – Akorede was arrested on Sunday, October 2, at Isale Oko area of Shagamu Ogun state Nigeria in possession of two human skulls.


Oluwatoyosi Akorede, a cemetery worker has been nabbed by a patrol team led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Shagamu, SP, Moses Aduroja, Daily Post reports. Akorede was arrested in possession of two human skulls. ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police image maker, confirmed the report on Monday, saying Akorede, an attendant at Ayepe Cemetery, was arrested at night on Sunday, October 2, at Isale Oko area of Shagamu.
It was gathered that the suspect might have gotten the skulls by exhuming bodies of dead people.

According to The Nation, the suspect confessed the items were needed to perform a ritual. Oyeyemi said: “The Commissioner of Police, CP, Ahmed Iliyasu has directed that the suspect be transferred to the command headquarters, Eleweran in Abeokuta for further investigation.

“The suspect is being interrogated to unravel the reasons for his action and has thus far confessed the items were needed to perform rituals.” A similar incident also occurred when the Ogun state police Command arrested a 38-year-old man named Wole Oke alongside a 30-year-old Wasiu Adesina, for for being in possession of human parts.

The duo were arrested at Ijebu, Idi-aro area of Abeokuta while policemen attached to Oke Itoku Division, led by the DPO, CSP Abeni Farinre, were on patrol.
