PHYSINEWS REPORTS:The Imo state Police Command has paraded twenty six suspects for various crimes in the state Briefing Newsmen at the Police Headquarters in Owerri, the State Commissioner of Police Mr. Dasuki Galandachi disclosed that the suspects who kidnapped and murdered one Amos Akano of Nkwerre, Mrs Patricia Okoronkwo, Daniel Akukanwa, Obijuru Nkenchinyere, Anayo Ihegbe and Ndebelie Edwin were among those paraded.

Mr. Galadanchi disclosed that the command in the state is leaving no stone unturned in the protection of lives and properties.

He attributed the success recorded so far to the community police strategy and the commitment of men and officers of the command in crime detention and prevention.

Prominent in the police arrest are the suspects who kidnapped and murdered one Cythia Dike a Staff of Christ the King Secondary School, Obike Ngor Okpala local government area.

The late Cynthia Dike who was coming back from Port-Harcourt by nine in the night entered the suspects’ bike at Ulakwo junction in Owerri North local government, the hoodlums took her to Umueme Ngor where she was kept hostage, raped, robbed of her cash and eventually murdered and her nude body was dumped in a forest at Umueme Ngor-Okpala.

One of the Suspects, 24 years old David Ndubuisi who hails from Umuaguru Umuneke in Ngor-Okpala confessed to the crime while disclosing that he and his friend Onyewuchi Chimobi conspired to commit the crime, He told newsmen that he told the late Cynthia he wanted to pick sweater from his house, she obliged but on getting to the house they knocked her unconscious. Exhibits recovered from David Ndubuisi and his crews include one black Motorcycle with registration number Enu738QC, two small prepared knives, one purse, four hand bags and assorted handsets belonging to the victim and other victims.

Summary of items recovered from the 26 six suspects include 3 locally made guns, pump action, 19 ammunition, 4 stolen vehicles and 11 kidnapped victims were rescued
