Photo: CULTIST Killed Man Pasted Him On The Floor And Dance Around His Corpse

Physinews: A macabre incident played out in Ikorodu,
Lagos state In Nigeria this weekend as cultists attacked
and killed a tailor, then proceeded to stone him.

Mr Segun Showemimo, the man that was killed
was a father of two. He was killed in his shop at
Itunla, Lemo compound, Ikorodu on Saturday,
October 16 afternoon.

The cultists numbering about four, were all
dressed in black clothes and blue berets.

According to the Punch, the cultists stormed
the area on two motorcycles and started
shooting into the air to scare the citizens of the
community.

A man identified as Morufu who is a brother of
the deceased man, said that the cult members
stoned the body after they shot him dead.

Morufu explained: “My room window is close to
my late brother’s shop. What surprised me
most was that after they shot him on the chest
and in the head, on their way out of his shop,
they brought out stones from the polythene
bags they were carrying and started stoning his
remains.

“They also danced round the body before they
left. We were helpless.

“Nobody could confront them because we were
not armed, but they were fully armed with
locally made pistols. What led to his killing is
what I don’t understand because he was an
easy going person.”

Dolapo Badmus, the police spokesperson,
confirmed the killing on Monday, October 17,
saying policemen from Igbogbo Division had
removed the deceased body.

He also revealed that investigations were
ongoing and that saying: “All perpetrators will
be made to face the law.”

Meanwhile, on October 4, butchers popularly
called ‘eleran’ who use the Alayabiaga market
in the Ajegunle area of Lagos clashed with
suspected cultists from the same area,
resulting in the death of one cultist and one
butcher.
