Officers issue warning not to drink and drive - or send Snapchat selfies to boyfriends - after the accident near Houston.
A
19-year-old student has claimed she was taking a topless selfie to send
to her boyfriend when she crashed into the back of a police car in
Texas.
According to theeagle.com, a City of Bryan police
officer had parked near Texas A&M university about 100 miles
northwest of Houston while he investigated a disturbance when Miranda
Kay Rader's car rear-ended his vehicle.
As he approached the car he noticed its airbag had deployed and the driver had her bra unfastened and was trying to put her shirt back on.
The website reported she told the officer she was driving back to her
dormitory on campus and had been sending a Snapchat picture to her
boyfriend.
Police say the officer also noticed an open bottle of wine in her dashboard cup holder.
Ms Rader was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and bailed on a $2000 (£1,641) bond.
